LexiPower collects the following information when you use the app: • Email address — provided when you sign in via Firebase Authentication. • Vocabulary words — words you enter, along with any notes or tags you add. • Learning progress — quiz results, review history, and spaced-repetition scheduling data generated as you study. • Anonymous usage events — app opens, words added, and quiz sessions started, collected via Firebase Analytics. These events include no direct identifiers such as your email address and no vocabulary content.
We collect this information solely to operate the service: • Email is used to authenticate your account and sync your data across devices. • Vocabulary words and learning progress are stored so your notebook and study history persist between sessions and devices. • Anonymous usage events help us understand how the app is being used so we can improve it. No personal information is included in these events.
Your data is stored in the following systems, all operated in Google Cloud infrastructure (primarily US regions unless otherwise noted): • Firebase Authentication — manages identity and sign-in tokens. • Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL) — stores your vocabulary notebook and learning progress. • Cloud Run — serves the backend API that reads and writes to Cloud SQL. Google's data-center security and compliance standards apply to all of the above. See cloud.google.com/security for details.
LexiPower integrates with the following external services: • Merriam-Webster API — word definitions, pronunciation audio, and CEFR levels are fetched from Merriam-Webster. Queries include only the word being looked up; no personal information is sent. • Firebase Authentication (Google) — handles sign-in flows. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. • Firebase Analytics (Google) — collects anonymous usage events (app open, word added, quiz started) to measure adoption. No direct identifiers (e.g. email address) or vocabulary content are included; Firebase may collect device-level identifiers per its own policy. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. • Sentry — crash and error reporting. Personally identifying information is scrubbed client-side before events are sent. Subject to Sentry's Privacy Policy.
You may exercise the following rights at any time: • Delete your account — from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete account), or by contacting us at the email below. We will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. • Export your data — Settings → Data → Export my words downloads a CSV of your vocabulary notebook and learning progress. • GDPR / data-subject requests — if you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data under GDPR Articles 15–21. To exercise any of these rights, email us at: contact@lexipower.app.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will erase your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
